The Latin American Association of Literature and Theology (ALALITE) raises from the invitation made by the Second Vatican Council in order to promote the dialogue of the Church with the world of culture. This interdisciplinary approach has led some theologians of the second half of the 20th century to consider the epistemological statute and its methodological possibilities in order to establish a necessary, fecund and effective exchange between Christian faith and culture.

 Objectives:

  1. Promote the human and academic integration among Latin American researchers dedicated to the dialogue between Literature and Theology.
  2. Encourage the exchange of bibliographical and academic material related to this subject matter among researchers, teachers and pupils.
  3. Carry out biannual meetings in order to consolidate the bonds among the Latin American countries.
  4. Link with associations that develop similar activities in other continents.
